Aure LLC, doing business as Auré and My Auré Life
Disclaimers
Please read these disclaimers carefully. They explain important limits on what Auré is and what it can do. By using the Auré website, joining our waitlist, or using the Auré application, you acknowledge and accept everything set out below. These Disclaimers form part of, and are in addition to, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
1. Auré is not a medical, mental-health, or crisis service
Auré is an emotional-support service that connects people with peers who have lived similar experiences. It is intended for general informational, reflective, and supportive purposes only. It is a lifestyle and wellbeing product. Auré is not, and is not intended to be, any of the following:
- A medical service, healthcare service, or service of any clinical kind;
- A diagnostic, screening, assessment, or treatment tool for any condition whatsoever;
- A substitute for evaluation, advice, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified physician, nurse, psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, counselor, social worker, coach, lawyer, financial adviser, or any other licensed or qualified human professional;
- A telehealth, telemedicine, or e-health service of any kind;
- A crisis intervention service, an emergency service, a helpline, or a suicide-prevention service;
- A confidential or privileged relationship of any kind. Nothing in or about Auré creates a doctor–patient, therapist–client, counselor–client, attorney–client, fiduciary, or other professional or privileged relationship between you and Auré or anyone associated with it.
Auré does not practice medicine or any licensed profession, does not employ professionals to provide care through the Service, and does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice. Any resemblance between the Service and supportive interpersonal or professional interaction is stylistic only and does not change the nature of the Service.
2. Emergencies and crises — Auré cannot help you in an emergency
If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, do not use Auré. Contact your local emergency services immediately, or a qualified professional, or a recognized crisis hotline in your country. In the United States, you can call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). Auré is not an emergency service and cannot send help.
Auré does not contact emergency services on your behalf, does not dispatch help to your location, and does not guarantee that any person will reach out to you. Any in-app safety features are limited tools that point you toward outside resources; they are not a substitute for emergency or professional help, and you should never rely on them in a situation of risk.
3. Peers are not professionals
Auré may allow you to connect with other users — “peers” — who have lived similar experiences. You acknowledge and agree:
- Peers are not trained, certified, or licensed in any field. They are ordinary users, not counselors, therapists, or advisers of any kind.
- We do not vet, screen, background-check, or verify peers beyond confirming that an account exists. We make no representation about any peer’s identity, honesty, character, qualifications, or intentions.
- Anything a peer says is personal opinion and lived experience only. It is not advice, and it carries no professional weight.
- Other users may behave unkindly, dishonestly, inaccurately, or harmfully. You interact with peers at your own risk.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any peer, whether on or off the Service, and we are not responsible for anything that happens if you choose to communicate with a peer outside Auré.
4. Auré’s AI is artificial intelligence and can be wrong
Auré includes an AI-driven conversational experience. Auré’s AI is artificial intelligence — not a human, not a professional — and always tells you so. You acknowledge and agree:
- AI responses are machine-generated from statistical patterns. The AI has no human understanding, lived experience, professional training, or moral judgment.
- AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, internally inconsistent, or inappropriate to your situation. The AI may “hallucinate” — state things that are simply untrue — with apparent confidence.
- Nothing the AI says is advice of any kind — medical, mental-health, legal, financial, relational, safety, or otherwise. Treat AI output as a prompt for your own reflection, never as guidance to act on.
- Internal AI inferences about your situation, your readiness for certain features, or the presence of distress are internal product instruments only. They may be wrong and do not constitute an assessment of you.
- Voice and audio features rely on automated transcription, which is imperfect and may introduce errors. You are responsible for the privacy of your surroundings when using voice features.
We make no warranty that AI output will be accurate, appropriate, or helpful, and we expressly disclaim responsibility for any decision you make or action you take based on it.
5. Do not rely on Auré for important decisions
You agree not to rely on Auré — whether its AI, its peers, its groups, or its content — for any medical, mental-health, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, relational, parenting, safety, or other important decision. Always consult an appropriately qualified human professional before making such decisions. Auré is one source of informal support among many and is not a basis for action.
6. Groups and community content
Auré may include group spaces where users in a similar situation post and read each other’s reflections. You acknowledge and agree:
- Group content is generated by other users. It is personal opinion and experience, not advice, and may be inaccurate, offensive, or unreliable.
- Groups are not pre-screened by human moderators before posts appear. While automated safety tools and reporting exist, harmful, false, or upsetting content may still appear before it is addressed.
- Posts appear under a pseudonymous handle and are not anonymous to us. Do not assume privacy or anonymity between yourself and other members.
- We are not responsible for content posted by users or for any reliance you place on it.
7. Practices, exercises, and physical safety
Auré may offer guided exercises, prompts, breathing techniques, grounding exercises, journaling prompts, audio content, and similar self-directed activities (“Practices”). You acknowledge and agree:
- Practices are educational, reflective, and lifestyle activities only. They are not treatment, are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and create no professional relationship.
- Reflecting on painful experiences can evoke strong emotions, including distressing ones. If a Practice causes you distress, stop immediately; you can exit any Practice at any time without penalty. If distress persists, seek qualified human support.
- Do not perform any Practice while driving, operating machinery, walking in traffic, or in any situation where attention to your surroundings is required for safety. Do not perform breathing-based Practices if you have any condition for which controlled or deep breathing could be inadvisable (including but not limited to cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological conditions, or pregnancy) without first consulting a qualified professional. Stop immediately and seek help if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, short of breath, or otherwise unwell.
- You choose which Practices to engage with and when to stop, and you do so at your own risk.
8. You are responsible for your own wellbeing
While we design Auré with care, you remain responsible for your own wellbeing while using it. If at any point Auré causes you distress, please stop using it and seek qualified human support; discontinuing use carries no penalty. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use Auré in light of your own circumstances.
9. Information about other people
Auré is for processing your own experience. If you share information about another person (such as a partner, family member, or anyone else), you are solely responsible for that content and for ensuring you have the right to share it. Do not share information that could identify a third party, and do not rely on Auré to keep such information from being seen by us or, in community features, by others. You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from information you share about third parties, as set out in the Terms of Service.
10. Device safety and privacy in your environment
Auré has no hidden or “stealth” mode; its presence may be visible on your device. Anyone with access to your device may be able to see that you use Auré and read your content. If your device is monitored or controlled by another person — for example in a situation involving control, coercion, or abuse — using Auré on that device may expose your information to them. Only you can judge whether using Auré on a particular device is safe. We are not responsible for content accessed by, or harm caused by, anyone who gains access through your device. For technology-safety guidance, consult a local domestic-violence or safety-planning resource.
11. No promise of results
We do not promise, guarantee, or warrant any particular emotional, psychological, relational, or other outcome from using Auré. Experiences differ from person to person, and Auré may not help you, may not be suitable for you, and may at times feel difficult. Nothing on our website, in our marketing, or within the Service should be read as a promise of healing, improvement, recovery, or any specific result.
12. Third-party services, links, and resources
Auré relies on and may link to third-party services and resources (for example, app stores, infrastructure and AI providers, and crisis-hotline directories). We provide third-party content and links as a convenience only. We do not control, endorse, verify, or guarantee any third-party service, resource, or hotline, and we are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, conduct, or content. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
13. Availability and accuracy of the Service
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at any particular time, or that any content or AI output will be accurate or reliable. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time.
14. Website “experience” and waitlist
Before the application launches, our website lets you try a light demonstration version of Auré and, separately, join a waitlist to be notified at launch. The website demonstration is for illustration only, is not the full Service, and should not be relied upon. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, a launch date, or any particular features. Everything in these Disclaimers applies to the website experience as it does to the application.
15. No professional advice; no professional relationship
To the fullest extent permitted by law, nothing provided through Auré constitutes or should be treated as medical, mental-health, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and no professional relationship is formed by your use of the Service. You should always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions you may have.
16. Adults only
Auré is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. It addresses adult experiences in intimate relationships and is not appropriate for, or directed to, minors. If you are under 18, do not use the Service.
17. Limitation of liability
Your use of Auré is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Auré and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and service providers are not liable for any harm, loss, or damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your reliance on anything within it, the conduct of any peer or user, or any AI output. These Disclaimers are subject to, and qualified by, the “Disclaimers,” “Limitation of Liability,” and related sections of our Terms of Service, which set out the full limitations and your statutory rights that cannot be excluded.
18. Your statutory rights
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities. Nothing in these Disclaimers excludes or limits any right or remedy you have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including, where applicable, the consumer-protection rights of users in the United Kingdom, the European Union and Ireland, Australia, and other jurisdictions. Where any part of these Disclaimers is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.
19. Changes to these Disclaimers
We may update these Disclaimers from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclaimers.
